Forest Bathing Walk for the Healing Sanctuary

Join us for more than a walk in nature with Holly Merker, certified Forest Bathing Guide and Mindful Birding Teacher who leads these events all over the globe. Forest bathing has its roots in the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, a form of nature therapy that immerses participants into the natural world in a mindful and respectful way.

This experience is different than a traditional outdoor guided walk since it does not focus on sharing naturalist knowledge or identification, but instead through a framework of guided “invitations” centering around the forest and birds, we engage our senses and slow our pace in a way that enables us to encounter nature and self in a more meaningful way. A tea ceremony culminates the experience as we celebrate and honor the natural world.

Any skill-level of experience in nature is welcomed. This is a great way celebrate Fall, enjoy the changing leaves, and boost your health and wellbeing. Registration required ; space is limited.
