Wild Birds Unlimited and Ornitherapy & Nature-Based Wellness are partnering with Penns Woods Winery to bring you a NEW outdoor wellness workshop!
Join us in the vineyard on April 28th from 3:00pm-5:30pm with Holly Merker, founder of Ornitherapy & Nature-Based Wellness in this calming, meditative, contemplative workshop. "Forest Bathing" is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku that harnesses the health and restorative benefits the natural world holds for us.
Deepen your connection to nature by engaging the senses and allowing the trees, vines and birds to intentionally guide you into slowing your pace and allowing the restorative benfits of nature to quiet your mind, body and soul while celebrating the spring season. This meditative experience includes a tea ceremony celebrating the spring season. Tickets include a complimentary glass of wine as well as a special 10% discount on wine purchases for participants following the conclusion of the workshop.
Event Details:
This workshop will meet under out outdoor, open-air pavilion at 3:00pm for check-in. Please note the following important policies for this workshop:
Tickets are per person.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. This event is rain or shine. In the case of severe inclement weather, credits will be issued.
This workshop is for guests 21 years of age and older.
We do not allow children or pets (with the exception of service animals) under our outdoor, open-air pavilion space.
Accessibility Information: This program has been developed for most all mobility levels. We will take a slow-paced walk and we might sit and sometimes stand, for periods of time as we observe and tune into the natural world.
What to Bring: For this program, binoculars are not necessary, though you may enjoy having them with you. Consider dressing for the elements and conditions: sturdy closed-toe shoes, layers, wind/rain jacket, etc. For Forest Bathing, a yoga mat, folding chair, or a small camping stool is encouraged but be sure they are easy to carry. Some chairs and stools will be provided on a first-come first-served basis.
